VRBO Fiesta Bowl headed to Glendale for College Football Playoff Semifinals

#2 Michigan and #3 TCU matchup for trip to National Championship game on the line

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The time has come for some "Bowl Mania" and the field has been set for the College Football Playoff after 14 long weeks.

One of the biggest bowl games of them all finds itself playing out in Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium to determine one of the two teams stamping their ticket to Sofi Stadium for the National Championship game.

The VRBO Fiesta Bowl will feature the unbeaten Big Ten champion Michigan Wolverines (13-0) and the (12-1) TCU Horned Frogs out of the Big 12.

TCU was still granted a spot in the elusive "Final Four" despite losing in overtime to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday.

On the other hand, Michigan swiftly handled Purdue in the Big Ten Championship game, one week after the impressive win at Ohio State to secure their playoff spot.

The VRBO Fiesta Bowl semifinal game will kick off at 2pm MST on ESPN on New Year's Eve.
