Super Bowl legend passes away

Baltimore Ravens great Tony Siragusa dead at age 55

(KYMA, KECY/ NBC News) - Former NFL lineman and Baltimore Raven Tony Siragusa passed away on Wednesday.

The 11-year veteran signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 1990 as an un-drafted free agent and would go on to win Super Bowl 35 with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001.

"The Goose" was a member of the iconic 2001 Ravens defense that allowed just 10 points per game.

After his playing career, Siragusa transitioned to broadcasting; serving as a sideline reporter and analyst at FOX.

The sudden passing of the 55-year old comes on an already difficult day for the Ravens, as 26-year old Baltimore linebacker Jaylon Ferguson's death was announced earlier in the day.
