AWC soccer signing day

13 Mats and 3 Lady Mats sign their LOI's

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Perhaps the biggest signing day in the history of Arizona Western College has come and gone.

Starting with the men's program, the Matadors are coming off the greatest season and post-season run in history.

The playoff run ended with a heart-breaking loss in the NJCAA National Championship Game.

The deepest finish yielded expected results at the signing table, as 13 men's Matador players are moving on to the 4-year level.

Here is the complete list:

Ridwane Boukraa signs with Mid-America Christian University (Oklahoma).

Michael Appiah signs with California Marymount University.

Burak Cuban signs with Florida Memorial.

Gianni Honsel signs with Webber University Florida.

Jesus Sanchez signs with Webber University Florida.

Aghiles Ould Lamara signs with  Bellevue University Nebraska.

 Francois Geris Rey signs with Mid America Christian University Oklahoma.

 Romaric Berneron signs with Marian University Indiana.

Gabriel Paglioni signs with Wayland Baptist University Texas.

Amarah Sidibe signs with Mars Hill University North Carolina.

Matthieu Fiadjoe signs with Catawba College North Carolina.

Hugo Catherine has already transferred to Florida Tech.

Michele Signorelli has already transferred to St Joseph College  New York.

The AWC women's team had 3 of it's student athletes declaring for the next level in Xisca Castello, Diana Sanchez and Brenda Garcia.

The Lady Mats also made history this past season, winning the Region 1 title for the 1st time ever.
