San Luis baseball tops Cibola, wins 2 out of 3 games.

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After both the Cibola Raiders and San Luis Sidewinders split the 1st 2 games of their regular season series finale, it would all come down to the final game of the season between these area powers.

The winner would be almost guaranteed a spot in the upcoming 6A state tournament play-in round, while the loser could be in jeopardy of being left out of the playoff picture.

The Sidewinders would get on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 1st, thanks to an RBI by Ernesto Ochoa that would score Javier Rochin.

But the Raiders would even the game at 1-1 in the top of the 2nd and add 2 more in the top of the 4th; thanks to RBI's by Antonio Torres and Andrugh Yee.

From there, San Luis would take over for good, as the Sidewinders quickly responded with 4 runs scored in the bottom of the 4th.

The Sidewinders would come away with the 7-3 win.

Both teams will find out their respective playoff fates in the coming days.
