YC baseball wins big
Shamrocks blow out St. John Paul II at home
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - In the days after the release of long-time Head Coach Curt Foppe, the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks baseball team started a new era with interim Head Coach Judd Thrower.
In that week's time, the Rocks have won 2 out of the 3 games they played against the likes of Imperial, Central and Brawley out of the Imperial Valley.
On Tuesday afternoon, YC's momentum would continue against St. John Paul II.
From the start, the Rock's bats would come to life; as they scored 10 runs in the 1st inning on their way to a convincing 22-0 win in 5 innings.
Starting pitcher Mickey Fox pitched a complete game no-hitter shutout in his 1st ever start at the varsity level.
The Shamrocks next take on Benjamin Franklin on the road this upcoming Thursday afternoon.
