Valley sports teams flex their muscles

The Holtville Vikings softball and baseball teams advance to next round of SDS Division playoffs

HOLTVILLE, Calif. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Holtville Vikings softball team scored early and often against Classical Academy en route to a 10-0 win. The Vikings, seeded #2 in the CIF San Diego Section Division IV playoffs, next will play on Friday afternoon. The Vikings baseball team also won, defeating Mission Bay in San Diego 8-2. The Southwest EC Eagles baseball team came from behind at home against Mater Dei Catholic to win 5-4. The Brawley softball team also notched a big win, knocking off Santana 6-3.
