AWC men’s basketball coach Charles Harral resigns
Harral ranks third all-time in the Matador men's program for wins with 216 over 10 seasons
YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - On Wednesday, After 10 seasons and 216 wins, AWC men's basketball coach Charles Harral announced he was resigning according to a press released published by the AWC sports department.

| “Charles has been an integral part of not only our basketball program but our athletic department as a whole,” said Athletic Director Jerry Smith. “Charles is a tremendous leader, teacher, and person and I know he’s going to have continued success moving forward.” |
| Under Harral, Arizona Western has appeared in the Region I Championship game eight times, winning the Region four times with one District Championship resulting in a 2019 trip to Hutchinson for the NJCAA National Tournament. The Matadors averaged 21 wins per season, always finished with a winning record, and made the playoffs every year that Harral was in Yuma |
A press conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday on the AWC campus to provide more information.
