Yuma Catholic wins its fifth straight game and eyes a home matchup to start the state baseball playoffs.
YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - After a rough patch to start the month of April where the Yuma Catholic baseball team lost three of four games, the Shamrocks are ending the month strong. On Monday night, the Shamrocks welcomed the Benjamin Franklin Chargers to town. Yuma Catholic would hang on for a 13-9 win, extending their winning streak to five games. On the season, the Shamrocks are now 13-3 and currently seeded number six in class 3A. The Shamrocks have three games remaining in the regular season, traveling to Wickenburg on Tuesday before hosting the Wranglers in the final home game of the year on Thursday. The Shamrocks end the season on the road at Pusch Ridge on May 1st.
