13 On Your Side Sports: First active NFL player tests positive for COVID-19, WWE releases hundreds of staff
The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the sports world.
Rams center Brian Allen has become the first active NFL player to contract COVID-19.
He first tested positive three weeks ago and again last week. Allen expects to get cleared this week. According to the head coach of the Rams, Sean McVay, Allen is feeling good and on the road to recovery.
Rams closed their team facility completely and hope to reopen to rehab players this week.
According to wrestlingnews.com, hundreds of WWE staff and talent are expected to be released.
At least 39 employees and talent have been laid off and they expect hundreds even those working behind the scenes and at the company headquarters.
Amongst those wrestlers who are no longer with WWE include, Karl Anderson, Curt Hawkins, Drake Maverick and Sarah Logan just to name a few.
