San Pasqual Hall of Fame Fundraiser
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The San Pasqual Hall of Fame Association is a non-profit organization in Yuma who supports San Pasqual athletics. The association will host a charity golf tournament on Saturday, January 25. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the 2020 San Pasqual Warriors Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund. The funds will go towards scholarships to help students who aspire higher education.
The golf tournament is named in honor of legendary coach, Denny Mundell. Mundell led the Warriors to multiple state championships in both football and baseball during his time at San Pasqual. He helped the Warriors build their athletics program.
 The San Pasqual Hall of Fame Association will host the golf tournament at Desert Hills Golf Course. Funds collected will go towards scholarships. Last year the association awarded five students with scholarships.
The golf tournament is followed by a banquet dinner at the Quechan Casino Resort. The dinner is for tournament players, San Pasqual athletes, and hole sponsors. Anyone can attend the dinner as well, tickets can be purchased for $30.
