Britney Spears voluntarily enters treatment facility

(CNN, KYMA) - Britney Spears is voluntarily seeking unspecified treatment in a facility, with the singer's representative confirmed she checked herself in.

It comes shortly after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Ventura County, California last month.

Spears has a long history with mental health struggles and was under a conservatorship for several years. That ended in 2021.

Since then, the "Toxic" singer has erratically posted bizarre content on social media that has concerned some fans.

Her camp says the treatment might be the "first step" in overdue change that has been needed in her life.
