‘Goat’ soars past ‘Wuthering Heights’ at the box office
(CNN, KYMA) - This weekend saw round two of a box office battle between an iconic drama and an animated sports film, but it was a different outcome than last weekend.
20th Century Studios' "Send Help," starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien and directed by Sam Raimi, fell to fifth place, scratching out $4.5 million.
In fourth place, Amazon MGM Studios' "Crime 101," starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Halle Berry, made off with another $5.8 million.
Lionsgate's "I Can Only Imagine 2" debuted in third place, bringing in $8 million.
After winning the top spot in last weekend's box office, Warner Bros.' "Wuthering Heights," starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi and directed by Emerald Fennell, fell to second place with $14.2 million.
However, Sony's "Goat" came up big in its sophomore weekend, grossing $17 million.
