Austin Butler to star in Lance Armstrong biopic
(CNN, KYMA) - Lance Armstrong's life story is getting the big screen treatment as Austin Butler will star as the former professional cyclist in the unnamed biopic.
Edward Berger, director of films like "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Conclave," is set to direct and produce the film.
Other producers include Scott Stuber, who acquired Armstrong's life rights.
Armstrong won the Tour de France seven times after he survived testicular cancer, but in 2012, Armstrong was stripped of those titles after he admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs.
He was also asked to return all of the prize money he earned between 1999 and 2005.
