Jonas Brothers celebrates 20 years by participating in TCL Chinese Theatre’s handprint-footprint ceremony

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KYMA, NBC) - The Jonas Brothers celebrated 20 years as a band by participating in the TCL Chinese Theatre's handprint-footprint ceremony Wednesday.

According to a press release, the band, formed by brothers Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, formed in 2005, and they've earned the following accolades during those 20 years:

  • Two Grammy Award nominations
  • 26 Billboard Hot 100 hits
  • Three consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard 200
  • Generated billions of streams worldwide
  • Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The ceremony taking place not far where the trio received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023.

In addition to ceremony, the press release says the band is currently on their "JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown" Tour, which kicked off this August in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and will go until December 22 in Brooklyn, New York.

The band also celebrated their 20 years together with "A Very Jonas Christmas Movie," which premiered last month on Disney+, the press release says.

"When we first visited Los Angeles, this was the first place we went to, and walking around to see the stars, to see these hand prints, and thinking, like 'One day, maybe. Maybe, one day,' but never this, I guess, early in our careers. So, it feels really...it's an honor," Joe Jonas said. "We never imagined out hand and feet would one day be a part of Hollywood history. Today marks an unbelievable milestone in our journey, a journey that now is 20 years strong."
