Diane Keaton, “Annie Hall” and “Father of the Bride” actress, dies at 79

(NBC, KYMA) - Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton has died at the age of 79.

Keaton rose to fame with her roles in "The Godfather and "Annie Hall," the latter giving her an Oscar win in 1977.

She was nominated three more times for her roles in "Reds," "Marvin's Room," and "Something's Gotta Give."

She also appeared in films like "Father of the Bride," "Because I Said So," "The First Wives Club," "The Family Stone" and "Finding Dory."

Tributes poured in after the news of her death, some describing her as "kind", "magic", and "a spark of life"

Keaton is survived by her adopted daughter and son.

Keaton's daughter confirmed to NBC News about her passing Saturday. She is asking for privacy at this time.
