Max changing its name back to HBO Max

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A popular streaming app is changing its name again. First, it was HBO. Then, it was HBO Max, and for the last two years, it was just called Max. But now, it's going back to HBO Max.

The Warner Brothers' owned streaming service is getting re-branded yet again. The studio says this change puts a focus on quality rather than quantity.

The last change to "Max" came in 2023 when content from Discovery+ was added to the app.

Subscribers can expect the Max app to look little different when the rebranding goes into effect this summer.
