Trisha Yearwood receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - Country music artist Trisha Yearwood is being honored with the 2,805th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.
According to a press release obtained by NBC News, the ceremony is taking place in the area of N. Vine Street, in front of the Capitol Records building, and Yearwood is receiving the star in the Recording category.
"The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome renowned country singer Trisha Yearwood to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her remarkable talent has touched the hearts of millions around the world," said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The press release says Reba McEntire and Carly Pearce are serving as guest speakers during the ceremony.
