City of Somerton invites community to register for upcoming ‘Battle of the Cheladas’

Participants are invited to come out to the 85350 Bar and Pizzaria and give the public a sneak peek

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Somerton's Inaugural Battle of the Cheladas is set to bring mixologists from all corners. But, that's not the only battle taking place on May 7.

The city is also hosting a car show and is set to host a registration party on April 22. The car show registration event is being held at the 85350 Bar and Pizzaria (346 w. Maint Street) from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

So, according to Brissa Garcia with the City of Somerton, they're accepting all classes which include classics, muscle, modern-muscle, 4X4, ATV, UTV, Lowrider, and anything else on wheels.

Now, participants interested in taking part in the May 7, Battle of the Cheladas must register before the April 29 deadline. The cost to register your vehicle is $20 and proceeds from the event will go to help youth sports programs.
