Rural Metro responds to house fire on Ironwood Drive

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Rural Metro responded to a house fire Sunday morning.

According to Rural Metro's post on Facebook, it happened in the area of S. Ironwood Drive and E. 54th Street after 10:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, Rural Metro says they found a single-story, single-family home "fully involved with exposures," prompting crews to deploy hose lines and extinguish the fire.

Rural Metro says the fire was contained to the house of origin.

One person was taken to Onvida Foothills for minor burns, and no other injuries were reported, according to Rural Metro, who says the American Red Cross was contacted.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
