Firefighters in New Jersey battle five-alarm fire

ROSELLE, N.J. (NBC, KYMA) - A five-alarm fire in New Jersey has ripped through at least three homes in Roselle .

Firefighters battled the large fire in Union County in the area of East Ninth Avenue and S. Spruce Street Monday at around 5:00 p.m. Eastern. It started at one of the two-unit homes before spreading to two others.

Fire crews and multiple agencies worked for hours battling the flames and putting out hotspots.

No residents were hurt, but a firefighter was hospitalized for smoke inhalation an is expected to recover.

At least 26-people have been displaced, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
