Firefighters in Boston battle house fire

BOSTON (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Firefighters responded to a third-alarm fire in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood Tuesday after a fire broke out in a multi-family home, footage shows.

Video captured by Jeremy Dowd shows flames consuming the house on Bruce Street, and firefighters attempting to tackle the blaze.

The Boston Fire Department said it responded to the "multi family house" at about 7:30 p.m. Eastern, after a fire broke out in the basement and "traveled up the building to the roof."

"Heavy fire knocked down, companies did a great job working around the wires in the front of the building, throwing multiple ground and roof ladders to access the building," the department said.

As of Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern, no information had been provided regarding potential victims.
