Mass protests continue in France

PARIS (NBC, KYMA) - Tensions continue flaring across France. Hundreds of thousands of protesters are taking to the streets.

Mostly peaceful until late in the day when clashes erupted. The scene growing more chaotic as police disperse tear gas and water cannons.

This as tens of thousands of American football fans have arrived for the first-ever NFL game in the French capital.

The widespread protests also taking place in France's second and third largest cities, Marseille and Lyon, are being fueled by the soaring cost of living and deteriorating school system issues, among other things.
