ICE vehicle strikes man during pursuit in Texas

HOUSTON (NBC, KYMA) - A man is in the hospital after he was struck by an ICE vehicle during a pursuit.

The incident unfolded Saturday in east Houston during a ICE enforcement operation.

An ICE spokesperson days agents were pursuing a vehicle with two men described as illegal aliens inside the driver being the target of the operation.

Both men fled the vehicle on foot and the passenger was hit by a vehicle driven by ICE agents.

The passenger was taken to a hospital with what authorities believe is a suspected broken leg and he remains in ICE custody at the hospital.

Officials say the driver remains at large.
