Five tornadoes hit central North Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C. (NBC, KYMA) - Some North Carolina residents are assessing the damage after the remnants of Isaias triggered a slew of tornadoes across the region.

At least five confirmed tornadoes whipped up across the central part of the state from Raleigh to Fayetteville.

Dramatic ring camera video tells the tale of just how powerful the storm was as it entered into the Raleigh area around noon Sunday with sheets of rain and extreme wind tossing debris through the air.

Numerous tornado warnings began coming in just as the system barreled through the area.

With Raleigh being hit the hardest, according to emergency management officials.

Thankfully, there are no injuries being reported.
