One dead after a shooting outside a Geensboro club in North Carolina

GEENSBORO, N.C. (NBC, KYMA) - An overnight shooting at a Greensboro nightclub left one person dead and five others injured.

Police responded to "Club O", also know as "The O," just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

Officials say a disturbance in front of the venue led to multiple shots being fired.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people suffered gunshot wounds, two of whom were taken to the hospital via ambulance.

The other two people arrived by private vehicle and officials say another person was injured by broken glass.

An investigation is ongoing.
