Grammy winning rapper Lil Durk found not guilty in alleged murder-for-hire plot

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - A Los Angeles jury returned a not guilty verdict for grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

The jury began deliberations on Wednesday and reached a verdict Friday.

Finding Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, not guilty on all charges in connection to a deadly shooting near a Los Angeles shopping center four years ago.

Drew Findling, bank's attorney, spoke outside the courthouse after his client's acquittal, celebrating the verdict.

According to his legal team, Durk will remain in custody.

He faces separate federal charges in a racketeering case that's expected to go to court on October 5th.
