Tracking lingering humidity & storm chances into Friday

We still have humid conditions and storm potential heading into Friday. However, I am tracking much drier and warmer conditions for the weekend. Temperatures are also going to be warming up into the 110s by early next week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Temperatures have been fantastic and trending a few degrees cooler than normal. But the monsoonal moisture is still making it feel hot and muggy.

With the extra monsoonal moisture sticking around we still have chances for isolated and scattered showers and storms again today.

If storms do form this can bring significant rainfall, flooding, lightning, and gusty winds. Make sure to stay weather aware and alert!

For the next 48 hours dew points will be staying elevated and in the 60s, but our humidity levels won't be as high.

Lingering humidity and moisture will still be around into Friday that could lead to more storm and rain chances.

However, as we head into the weekend, monsoonal moisture will move more east allowing drier and warmer temperatures to move back in.

Tracking more clouds for the next few days with temperatures trending slightly cooler than normal.

Heading into the weekend we will have drier and slightly warmer weather making a return. Temperatures will heat up next week with highs climbing over the 110 mark.
