Tracking seasonable temperatures and evening winds

Weather Authority/ KYMA

We are finally having slightly cooler temperatures compared to earlier this week. Seasonable temperatures will continue through the weekend, but we will still have winds being part of our evenings for the next few days.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - It was a gusty and dusty night across the Desert Southwest. Stronger winds were in Imperial County. Take a look at our wind recap from last night.

It will be another breezy and windy evening as I am tracking more westerly winds and gusts between 20-30 MPH. Stronger winds and dust will favor in Imperial County versus us here in Yuma County.

Those who are in Imperial County, be safe and stay indoors if you can.

Temperatures have been feeling noticeably cooler. Afternoons have been nice and seasonable, and our overnight lows will be trending in the mid 70s.

Enjoy the cooler temperatures! We will have higher heat next week.

As we get ready to head into Father's Day weekend, I am tracking lots of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.

Come late next week, I am tracking intense summer heat where highs will be climbing to 115 and over. Prepare for some extreme heat on the way.
