Tracking warm temperatures and winds for Tuesday

Temperatures will stay in the 90s through Tuesday with stronger winds rejoining. Tracking cooler temperatures and breezy conditions throughout the week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Monday! It's a warm start to the week with highs in the 90s, which is warmer than normal for this time of year.

Tracking a warm and cloudy evening, but no rain is expected. We will also be a little breezy with winds 10-15 MPH.

It will still be great weather to go for a walk or hang out on the patio.

A ridge of high pressure is staying in place for now through Tuesday keeping our temperatures above-average. However, a strong lower pressure system continues to stay in the northwest bringing significant weather and rainfall up there.

Tracking a weather system that will pass through this week, and this will lead to cooler temperatures and breezy conditions throughout the workweek.

We have another round of breezy and windy conditions for Tuesday. It will get more gustier by the evening as we will have winds coming from the west/southwest with gusts 25-30 MPH.

An Air Quality Alert is issued for parts of Imperial County due to the strong winds and blowing dust, which will bring in unhealthy air quality concern. This will go into effect noon-midnight Tuesday.

There's also a Wind Advisory issued 3 p.m. Tuesday through 8 a.m. Wednesday for the southwest corner of Imperial County due to strong westerly winds with gusts of 50-55 MPH.

Daytime highs will stay in the 90s until Tuesday, then cooler and more seasonable temperatures will arrive by the middle of the week.

It will be a pretty great week ahead with breezy conditions at times throughout the week.
