Tracking a quiet weekend with warmer temperatures

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Heading into the weekend, tracking much calmer winds and warmer temperatures as highs warming into the 90s.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's been a gusty dusty start to our Friday.

An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Imperial County until 5 p.m. Friday due to the strong winds bringing widespread blowing dust.

Thankfully heading into to the evening winds won't be issue and very light. It's going to be a great Friday night.

The lower pressure system toward the north will move out, which will allow us to have lighter winds and a brief warming trend taking over this weekend.

We are in for seasonable temperatures and lots of sunshine through Saturday. A few clouds and warmer temperatures move in on Sunday as highs will return back to the 90s.

Tracking cooler temperatures next week, just in time for Earth Day.
