Another lower pressure system will pass through toward our north, bringing back gustier winds and cool temperatures later this week.

Winds will pick up Thursday afternoon/evening, especially in Imperial County. Winds will be coming from the west and southwest with gusts up to 30 MPH.

Much stronger winds will be impacting the southwest corner of Imperial County.

Taking a look at Friday, winds are expected to shift and come from the north/northwest brining in breezy and windy conditions Friday morning/afternoon.

Gusts will be between 25-35 MPH. Stronger winds are possible. No alerts are issued for our area as of now, but I will keep an eye out and release any alerts if they get issued.

With this next round of winds, make sure to prepare now and secure your loose and lightweight items and cover items outdoors because blowing dust is also expected.

We will have cloudier skies for Thursday, but dry conditions and no rain are expected.

Winds will return Thursday and Friday with slightly cooler temperatures. Tracking lighter winds and temperatures to warm into the 90s toward the end of the weekend.

Looking ahead! Our temperature outlook in the next 6-10 days is also showing slightly cooler than normal temperatures. Take a look.
