Tracking seasonable temperatures for now and gustier winds for Friday

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Temperatures are feeling fantastic! I am tracking stronger winds for Friday. Daytime highs will also warm back up for Easter weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- The Easter countdown continues! We are just 3 days away from Easter!

Happy Thursday! It's another cool and breezy day.

It's also day 3 for the Yuma County Fair! If you are going to the fair this evening, we will have clear with mild and cool temperatures. Winds will still be a little breezy, but not as strong as yesterday.

A lower pressure system will continue to work its way toward the north, keeping our temperatures nice and seasonable along with breezy and windy conditions.

With the breezy and windy conditions, it will bring in some patchy blowing dust into the air, which will influence our air quality. An Air Quality Alert is in place until 11:15 p.m. Thursday for parts of Imperial County.

Here are some helpful tips to protect your health: Keep windows and doors closed, run your air conditioner or air purifier, and avoid other sources of pollution, such as candles, fireplaces, or grilling.

Wind direction is expected to shift with winds coming from the north/northwest on making it a little bit gustier on Friday throughout the day on Friday.

It will be a little gusty for outdoor activities, but if you are going to be out and about, it will be an extra hair spray/gel kind of day to your hair.

We will see a few clouds, but staying dry with no rain expected. It will also be gusty and dusty for Friday with calmer winds for the weekend. Temperatures are also staying in the mid and upper 80s through Saturday.

Temperatures will warm to the 90s for Easter weekend. It's going to be a toasty weekend ahead for Easter plans and for the final days of the Yuma County Fair, but still going to be a fun weekend.
