Tracking a seasonable and breezy start the month of April

Temperatures are going to stay nice and seasonable through the workweek, along with breezy and windy conditions. Tracking temperatures to heat back up for Easter weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy April First and April Fools' Day! It may be April Fool's, but I am not pranking you with today's temperatures! We are finally cooler and near our average to kick off the month of April!

It's Day 2 for the Yuma County Fair! We have clearer skies, mild temperatures, and breezy conditions this evening. Winds will be coming from the west and between 10-20 MPH. Tonight, the Demolition Derby will kick off at 7 p.m.

Get your cameras ready the full Pink Moon will peak in our skies TONIGHT. Now, the moon will not be pink, but it will still be pretty. Moonrise is at 6:57 p.m. MST.

A lower pressure system will continue to work its way toward the north, keeping our temperatures nice and seasonable along with breezy and windy conditions.

Winds will remain part of the forecast for the remainder of the week, with winds coming from the west and gusts between 20-30 MPH. Gustier winds will favor more toward the west and for Ocotillo.

Make sure to secure your light and outdoor items so they don't blow away.

With the breezy and windy conditions, it will bring in some patchy blowing dust into the air, which will influence our air quality. An Air Quality Alert is in place until 11:15 p.m. Thursday for parts of Imperial County.

Here are some helpful tips to protect your health: Keep windows and doors closed, run your air conditioner or air purifier, and avoid other sources of pollution, such as candles, fireplaces, or grilling.

Looking ahead to Friday, wind direction is expected to shift with winds coming from the north/northwest on making it a little bit gustier on Friday throughout the day on Friday.

It will be a little gusty for outdoor activities, but if you are going to be out and about, it will be an extra hair spray/gel kind of day to your hair.

Temperatures are back on the rise! Above-normal warmth will return and stay in the picture for the next 6-10 days. Take a look at our latest temperature outlook. I am forecasting us to trend 10-15 degrees above-average in the days ahead.

It will be a nice rest of the week, temperature-wise, with highs staying near average. Plus, it will stay breezy and a little windy. We may still see a few clouds here and there, but it will be dry with no rain expected.
