Tracking record-breaking temperatures all week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

We have triple-digit temperatures along with daily records being broken for the rest of the week. However, I am tracking some changes and relief on the way.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Triple-digits return this afternoon! Also, we are looking likely to beat a record high temperature this afternoon. Stay tuned!

A ridge of high pressure will still dominate the region this week, keeping our temperatures toasty and in record territory. Temperatures won't be as hot, but still trending15-25 degrees above-average.

We have moderate heat risks for the rest of the week, so those who are sensitive to the heat will need to take extra precautions and practice heat safety, especially if you plan on spending time outdoors.

Triple-digit highs will persist at least through Saturday, along with records being met or broken day after day. Tracking increasing clouds by the weekend, with cooler temperatures ahead.

By the middle of next week, we are looking to drop into the low 80s, which is seasonable for this time of year. So that is something to look forward to, along with the Yuma County Fair!

HEADS-UP: I am tracking a weather pattern change on the way late this weekend and for next week. There are a lot of uncertainties, but there are possibilities for showers and cooler temperatures. Stay tuned for more details and updates.
