Weather Authority/KYMA

Tracking unusually warm temperatures along with more daily records being broken through the week that will bring moderate heat risks. We may have some changes on the way.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- After the insane heat the last several days, we had multiple days we broke daily records. We actually broke daily record highs 5 days in a row and yesterday we TIED with our daily record high.

This historic heat wave also making it the hottest March ever recorded in Yuma and El Centro, beating our all-time highs recorded for the month of March. The hottest temperatures were recorded on Friday March 20th.

Yuma also set a new record warm low this morning by reaching a low of 69 degrees, beating the record warm low for today's date of 64 degrees. El Centro was very close. But tracking more record potential this week.

Temperatures will be a tad cooler as we will be trending in the upper 90s, but still pretty warm for this time of year.

Also, we will most likely beat another daily record high again this afternoon.

Heading into the evening, it will be clear and calm with warm temperatures still. But once that sun goes down it will be more pleasant.

A ridge of high pressure will still dominate the region this week week keeping our temperatures toasty and in record territory.

Tracking lots of sunshine and temperatures retuning to the triple-digits by Wednesday and through the weekend. Temperatures aren't as hot as last week, but still trending 15-25 degrees above-average.

We do have moderate heat-risks, so remember to hydrate and take frequent shade breaks.

HEADS-UP: We do have a possible weather pattern change on the way late this weekend and for next week. There are a lot of uncertainties, but there are possibilities for showers and cooler temperatures. Stay tuned for more details and updates.
