Tracking drier conditions and big warm-up on the way

We had some wet weather and cooler temperatures to start the week, but now a drying and big warming trend will be taking over. Get ready for some 90s and even possible triple-digits on the way.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Today we have much drier and warmer weather with us. Temperatures are trending near or slightly above average. Enjoy these temperatures because our temperatures are on the rise for the rest of the week.

Happy Taco TUESDAY! We are in for cooler temperatures with clear skies and slightly breezy conditions. It will be nice weather to enjoy some tacos on the patio for dinner.

This lower-pressure system is on its way out, and this will allow a very strong ridge of high pressure to move into the Desert Southwest, and it will bring in a drying and significant warming trend.

For the next 6-10 days, we are in for some unseasonable heat for the Desert Southwest. Daytime highs will be trending 10-25 degrees above-normal for the next several days.

We are also just 1 week away from St. Patrick's Day!

Lots of sunshine is in the forecast along with dry conditions, but our temperatures are on the rise. It's going to be pretty warm for the Yuma Air Show this weekend and even warmer for St. Patrick's Day.

Tracking upper 90s later this week, and then we are in for our first round of triple-digits of the year come next week. Also, record heat is looking pretty likely on some days.
