Elementary school students poisoned from allegedly eating spoiled food in San Luis, Mexico

KYMA

SAN LUIS, Mexico (KYMA) - Ten elementary school students were poisoned after allegedly eating spoiled food at a school in San Luis, Mexico.

Federal health authorities placed suspension seals on the school after allegedly finding spoiled food and other sanitary issues.

Hours later, the food court manager of the school was detained by police after allegedly breaking the official seals.

“There were many parents who stood there at the door, we put padlocks on it, and the woman became aggressive, she hit one of the mothers, she told us that she had connections in the government and that she was going to sue us,“ said Alejandra Acuña, president of the Parent’s Association.

Parents also claim the same woman runs at least 14 schools in San Luis, Mexico and they’re urging authorities to inspect those facilities.
