YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Today has been a warm, but pleasant day with calm winds. Heading into the evening, we will continue to have nice weather with cooler temperatures.

We do have an incoming lower pressure system that will move in the Desert Southwest, which will bring in cooler temperatures and gustier winds starting Thursday.

A Windy Advisory is issued for some areas in the Desert Southwest and it includes Blythe. This will go into effect 7 a.m. through 6 p.m. PST on Thursday for north winds and gusts up to 45 MPH.

Stronger winds will move in on Thursday morning. Tracking northerly winds with gusts between 20-30 MPH and stronger winds are expected toward our north and along the Colorado River.

There is also another lower pressure system expected to move in later this weekend and it may bring in some moisture.
There are slight rain chances Sunday and Monday for Yuma. It's looking to be light and not every city in the Desert Southwest is expected to see rainfall.

Tracking upper 70s later this week, but that is near average for this time of year. We will have stronger winds Thursday-Saturday.
