Temperatures are gradually warming to the 80s

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Mornings will stay chilly and afternoons will be getting warmer. I am tracking daytime highs warming to the 80s later this week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Today was slightly warmer than normal, but still feeling pleasant. Take a look below.

We will continue to have cloudy skies through early tomorrow morning. Tonight will also still be pretty chilly as will have lows in the mid and upper 40s by the morning.

Today is also National Lego Day! Great night to stay inside where it's warm and build some Legos.

A ridge of high pressure will lead to a steady warming trend during the next several days. We expect temperatures to trend 6-10 degrees above-normal late this week and through the weekend.

It will become a little breezier on Thursday for Yuma County with winds coming from the north and gusts between 20-30 MPH during the afternoon hours.

We will finally see more sunshine for the rest of the week, with daytime highs warming to the 80s by the weekend.

Temperatures will slightly cool down early next week only to warm back up into the low 80s again.
