Tracking warm weather with a brief cooling trend later this week

Temperatures will trend above-normal through the middle of the week. I am tracking slightly cooler and near-average temperatures arriving later this week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It was another warm and comfortable afternoon as highs were in the mid and upper 70s.

Happy Taco Tuesday! Heading out or staying in for tacos, our weather will be calm and chilly with clear skies. Going to be a nice and mild evening ahead.

A ridge of high pressure will be hanging around the region through at least the middle of the week, allowing warm and dry weather for the Desert Southwest.

I am tracking a possible pattern change to arrive later this week.

We have slight changes moving later this week, and it includes cooler, but near seasonable levels and extra clouds. It's still uncertain if any rain is possible later this week, but I will bring more details as we get closer to the weekend.

We do have another round of near 80-degree afternoons next week.
