Tracking more warm weather for the rest of the week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Overnight lows will remain chilly, but afternoons will continue to be noticeably warm. Daytime highs will be in the upper 70s through the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Just before 3 a.m. 3 earthquakes shook Imperial County. The strongest was a 4.1 earthquake that was just 4 miles from Holtville, CA, and 6 miles away from El Centro, CA. The earthquake was strong enough that people over here in Yuma felt it.

It's another warm day with highs trending in the upper 70s. We could also possibly reach the 80s again today.

In the hours ahead, we will have clear skies, calm conditions, and cooler temperatures. Overnight lows will cool into the low 50s and upper 40s by tomorrow morning.

A continuing ridge of high pressure is staying toward our north, bringing in the extra warmth to the Desert Southwest.

For the rest of the week and through the weekend, temperatures will stay pretty consistent and remain above-average.

There will be a few clouds early next week, but I’m not tracking any rain, and we will remain nice and dry. We will have slightly cooler temperatures to look forward early next week.
