Tracking warm and sunny weather

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Daytime highs will trend in the 80s and upper 70s through early next week. I am tracking some changes moving in sometime during Christmas week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- We are just 7 days away from Christmas! Hopefully, you have most, if not all, of your holiday shopping done. Christmas is right around the corner.

A ridge of high pressure doesn't want to leave just yet. The Desert Southwest will continue to have above-normal temperatures, dry, and calm conditions.

Highs in the 80s will persist through Monday with mostly clear skies.

We may finally have a weather pattern change by Christmas Eve and Christmas day, which includes cooler temperatures and possible rain chances.

Our precipitation outlook is showing above-normal rainfall being possible here in the Desert Southwest during the next 6-10 days. I will keep tracking and bring more updates as it gets closer. Stay tuned.
