Temperatures are warming to the 80s this week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Tracking a gradual warming trend, which will bring unseasonable temperatures with highs in the 80s in the days ahead.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Temperatures this afternoon are slightly warmer than what we felt yesterday, with highs in the mid and upper 70s, which is already well above-average for early December.

At least we have some relief as temperatures will cool down through the evening, with overnight lows reaching the upper 40s and low 50s by tomorrow morning.

A ridge of high pressure will continue to build, leading to well-above-average temperatures as daytime highs will trend 10-12 degrees warmer than normal.

Temperatures will warm into the 80s as early as Wednesday for some parts of the Desert Southwest. We will have slightly cooler temperatures this weekend, but it's still going to be pretty unseasonable.

Tracking quiet and dry conditions for the next several days with some additional clouds on Saturday and Sunday.

LOOKING AHEAD: Our temperature outlook is still showing well above average temperatures, even 6-10 days from now.
