Temperatures are warming up this week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Tracking a big warm-up this week for the Desert Southwest as daytime highs will trend well above-average.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Monday, it's been a warm and pleasant start to the week. And for this evening, skies will remain clear with light winds and of course chilly temperatures.

The focus this week is on this ridge of high pressure moving into the region, bringing us well-above-normal temperatures.

It will be a sunny, dry, and calm week, with warm temperatures as daytime highs will rise into the 80s which is 8-12 degrees above normal.

Afternoons this week will be warm, but overnights will at least be cool and chilly.

Our temperature outlook is still showing unseasonably warm temperatures, even 6-10 days from now.
