Tracking warming temperatures this weekend

Temperatures will continue to warm through the weekend, followed by even warmer temperatures next week, where highs will be well above average.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Friday! It's been another great afternoon with cool and pleasant weather.

If you are going out this Friday evening, make sure to dress warm, it will be pretty chilly. Perfect weather to roast marshmallows by a fire.

Dry and quiet weather will continue through next week, with temperatures staying near average levels for the time being.

However, a ridge of high pressure will begin to build off toward the west, which will lead to a big warm-up in the days ahead.

Looking ahead at the next 6-10 days, our temperature outlook is showing dark red and maroon colors over the Desert Southwest, so that means we can expect well-above-normal temperatures in the near future.
