Tracking great weather for the final days of November
Mild and calm weather will continue for the final days of November. Tracking a cooling trend and possible rain chances next week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we are all now in full Christmas mode. Our holiday countdown continues as we are inching closer to winter, Christmas, and 2026.

It's Black Friday! If you are going to do any shopping this evening, we will have clear skies, light winds, and chilly temperatures.
Make sure to wear a sweater or jacket if you are going to be out shopping tonight.

It will be a pretty cold start to our Saturday with overnight lows in the low to upper 40s. Make sure to be warm.

We do have a fast and dry weather system moving in on Sunday and early next week, which will bring us cooler than normal temperatures.
For the final days of November, we will have slightly above-normal temperatures with lots of sunshine.
We will be starting off December with cooler temperatures and possible rain chances by mid-week.

TRAVEL IMPACTS: If you are doing any traveling, look at tomorrow's travel impacts. There are moderate and high risks in parts of the country. Wishing everyone a fun and safe weekend travels.

YEARLY RAIN TOTAL CHECK: So far for the year, Yuma has accumulated 4.06," and our average is 2.81". We're ahead for the year so far by 1.25". Which is great for us. Comparing what we have so far and looking at where we were last year, we have crushed our yearly rain total so far.

DROUGHT UPDATE: Wow, take a look at our latest drought monitor that was released this week. A big part of Yuma and Imperial County isn't having any drought conditions.
Yuma county is reading 83.66% of the county is under dry drought conditions, when last week we were at 100% for the county. That is a 16.34 difference. As for moderate conditions, this week Yuma County has 34.98% and last week it was 77.49, that is a 42.51 difference from last week.
And you may notice the Desert Southwest is no longer experiencing extreme or exceptional drought. Huge change from the start of this year.
