Tracking warming temperatures through Thanksgiving week

After having a wet and cold weekend, we finally have drier and sunnier weather in the forecast this week. I am tracking a warming trend through the week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's been a pretty wet month for November, where we have had multiple days this month where Yuma received measurable rain.

Just last Friday, a new daily rain total record was set of 0.96" for Yuma. More rain continued through our Saturday, so between Friday, November 21st, and Saturday, November 22nd, Yuma collected over an inch of rainfall between those two days.

For the month of November, Yuma has accumulated 1.44" of rain, which is 1.29 above our average for the month. That is great for us for this time of year!

As of today, we are only 3 DAYS until Thanksgiving. Hopefully, you have everything you need for your Thanksgiving Fest.

Today it's been a drier and clearer day with warmer temperatures, as highs were trending a little cooler than normal and in the low 70s this afternoon.

Heading into the evening, we will stay clear and calm with very chilly temperatures. Nice weather to cozy up next to a fire and maybe roast some marshmallows. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s by Tuesday morning, so make sure to stay warm.

This week, we will get a break from the wet weather, as we will be drier and also warming up through the week.

We will start the first half of the week with mostly clear skies with a slight warming trend as we will warm near to a few degrees above average.

For Thanksgiving, we will have more clouds, but staying dry with comfortable temperatures. We are in for great weather for the holiday.

Heads up! Later this week and into the weekend, we do have chillier temperatures and possible rain chances that may make a return Sunday and Monday. Stay tuned!

TRAVEL OUTLOOK: If you are planning to travel this week or know of others who are traveling, there is high impact for Tuesday toward the north, and looking ahead to Wednesday, the majority of the country is looking good to moderate risks. Wishing everyone safe travels.
