Alleged meth trafficker for Sinaloa Cartel extradited from Mexico

SAN DIEGO (KYMA) - A man from Mexico was extradited in connection to the Sinaloa Cartel.

34-year-old Marco Antonio Lopez-Guerrero was indicted by a California jury in 2020 after being charged with the following:

  • Conspiracy to import meth
  • Conspiracy to distribute meth
  • Attempted export of defense articles without a license
  • Smuggling goods from the U.S. to Mexico

Court records say Lopez-Guerrero used young girls to smuggle meth through Southern California ports of entry.

Lopez Guerrero also used drones to smuggle meth and weapons to Mexico.

He was extradited from Mexico on October 24 and made two appearances in court.
