Tracking cooler, but still above-normal temperatures this week

Afternoon temperatures will be cooler than last week, with highs in the upper 80s, but that is still warmer than normal for early November.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Tuesday! It was another warm afternoon, but we have a cool and nice evening in the hours ahead. The weather will be great to enjoy your favorite candy to celebrate National Candy Day!

Dry and warm weather will persist all week for the Desert Southwest as a ridge of high pressure continues to stay in place to the south.

Temperatures will consistently stay in the upper 80s all week long. This is still above-average for early November, but at least we get a break from the 90s.

Tracking a few clouds early next week with highs staying warm for Veteran's Day. We do have another cool-down late next week.

LOOK UP! FULL SUPERMOON: Don't forget the Full Beaver Moon will peak in our skies on Wednesday, November 5th at 6:19 a.m. in Yuma, so that is 5:19 a.m. in Imperial Valley. This full moon will also be a supermoon, which means it will be the biggest and brightest moon of the year.
