Temperatures will continue to trend warmer than normal this week

Tracking temperatures to remain in the 90s, which is above normal for late October. It will also stay breezy through Wednesday for the Yuma area.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Today is warmer than yesterday with highs in the low 90s. Our average for today's date is 86 degrees.

Temperatures will cool down and be more comfortable through the night. Overnight lows will reach the low 60s and upper 50s by Wednesday morning.

It's been a little breezy today for the Yuma County area, and it will continue through Wednesday. We have winds coming from the north with gusts of 20-25 MPH.

Above-normal warmth will be sticking with us along with dry and sunny weather all week.

Halloween is just three days away and highs will be in the 90s all week and through the weekend.

More seasonable temperatures are expected early next week.

TRACKING HURRICANE MELISSA: Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica today as a Category 5 Hurricane with sustained winds of 185 MPH. Hurricane Melissa is the strongest Hurricane to hit Jamaica and the strongest Hurricane to form this year so far.

Melissa's path is moving north northeast and is heading toward Cuba. Sending prayers to everyone in Jamaica and in the Caribbean.
